Christmas Belly

Okay, I know that this picture isn't much different than the last one, but I look much cuter in this one, I think. :) This is on Christmas Day, when I am one day shy of 35 weeks pregnant. Yikes! This little outfit from Ben and Sam is so cute - and totally freaked us out! It's a six-to-twelve-month outfit, and the realization that next Christmas we will have a child big enough to fit into these clothes pretty much blew us away. I also realized last night that full-term is considered any time after 38 weeks - which is only three weeks away! Chances are that Baby Asparagus won't appear until nearer her due date of January 29, so we probably have more like five to seven weeks to go... but that's not that long either. Whoaaaaaaa.....

Project Table...

In the aftermath, our dining room table became the project table. We have the computer out (with new wireless mouse, Mike's mechanical paper kit, Mark's mini-puzzle, a supercool digital photo frame from the Weisses waiting for an upload, and of course, my new Pooh Bear sewing machine. Fun, fun! Posted by Picasa

More Goodies from the Fryes

...And I got a fun bunch of goodies, too. I'm wearing the ruby slippers right now - "There's no place like home, there's no place like home!" - and think that they're going to go in my hospital bag. Posted by Picasa

My Mailbox!

Since I didn't bring my little mailbox from the tree at home with me, Mike decided to make me one. He "hid" it on the tree, and after everything else was opened told me that I had to try to find it. Inside was a gift certificate for a getaway weekend in Saugatuck at the same place where we had spent our wedding night, already reserved for next September! Would anyone like to babysit? :) Posted by Picasa

Shark Attack!

We got Mark a little starter set for his new apartment. For those who haven't heard, Mark graduated from Northwestern University on December 9 with his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree and just accepted a position at Mt. Sinai Schwab Hospital in Chicago. In addition to this super-cool oven mitt, he is now the proud owner of his very own potato masher, as well. :) Posted by Picasa

Merry Christmas from the TSA

The TSA did apparently find one item in Mark's luggage suspicious. The good news is that there will never be any doubt over exactly what they inspected, as the tape wrapping is somewhat reminiscent of Mark's favored style. The package included an iTunes gift card for Mike (which he was very excited about!) and some nice mango bubble bath... we're not sure if that was intended for Mike or not, but I'm sure we'll both enjoy it. :) Posted by Picasa
