Shrine

This is the front of a shrine in the complex. You'll see this later on from what is the right-hand side in this picture, as the participants passed bamboo stalks through here. If you look closely, you can see a special "rice cake" in the center of the shrine, called the o-kagami-mochi. It's presented as an offering to the god.
