More Bellies!

As the time grows nearer, the belly, too, continues to grow. Here's the latest... This is the belly as of January 6... And here's the belly as of January 13, just a few days ago. Doesn't it look fake?? We're not completely sure if she dropped before or after this - a guy at church thought I looked lower on Sunday, and Mike really was able to tell Monday evening. I don't think it's as obvious in me as in some people for some reason. This is now the only pair of pants I am able to fit into. Time to get this baby out!

And there's the kickoff, the ball's in the air, the return team backpeddles for the reception, the fans in the stands are on their feet, the crowd's going wild . . . .
Wait, wait, there's a flag on the play!
Yes, illegal procedure. The replay shows that she's got at least four inches to go before she hits the tape.
The ball goes back for a rekick, and we'll be right back after a few brief messages.

Ha, ha, ha... :) Okay, so our size estimates were just a *little* off. Now we know better (then again, maybe next time...). :) That did just give me a good idea, though... maybe next time we should put different colors of tape along the wall at one- or two-inch intervals to track the progress!

The end of pregnancy is so not fun. My OB told me she thought the last month of pregnancy was harder than the first month with a newborn and I think, in retrospect, she was right.

That's encouraging... I've not been looking forward to moving from one not-fun stage to another!

But a newborn baby is such a wonderful thing - you can almost see her grow, you get to watch her personality develop, and she depends on you for everything. It's very exciting! She can't even talk back yet! You will be tired, just remember to put everything else on the back burner for now and sleep when she sleeps. It is much more fun than the last month of pregnancy.

That's very encouraging! I like hearing that. :) I guess it would almost have to be more fun than the last month of pregnancy, when I think about it... not that the last month of pregnancy has been miserable, it's just maddening for someone as impatient as I am. :)
