Nothing to Report
Yes, this is the post about nothing. :) No baby yet, though I probably shouldn't be impatient yet since my due date is still around the corner (January 29). At my appointment today my doctor declared me 3 cm dilated and thought that I had a good chance (26% - ehhhh?) of going into labor in the next week. Now, I'm still not quite sure why 26% is considered a strong positive possibility, but I'll take it. Unless I don't go into labor this week. Then I'll be growling about good chances and things that ought not to be spoken to a woman who can't reach the coffee table without extraordinary effort. :)

Nothing happening! You have tons of stuff happening! (or at least many pounds of stuff happening) You happen to be the most happening person in the world right now! Just remember that as you are groaning to reach the coffee table, it counts as a prayer:
"He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good." (Romans 8:27-28, The Message)
So keep right on groaning, and look forward to "something good." Still Groaning After All These Years.
Meiks--
Never listen to someone tell you what your chances of labor are--its either false hope or leads to extremely unexpected labor. Life is crappy here--a week of continuous contractions and the promise of two more to go! I was kinda hoping to beat you into this whole baby thing--I am only dialated to 2 and effaced. I think that you are going to win! I look forward to hearing more.
Love you always,
Sammy
Hi Sammy! I just told Mike the other day that I'd be so mad if you beat me... but I still think you will. :) I only have one centimeter on you and haven't had any noticeable contractions in over a week. We should make some sort of a bet. :)
The winner (meaning the one who actually delivers a child first) gets to have the loser watch their child for a while so the other can go shopping to buy new clothes for the fabulous post-baby body :)
Sounds good - you're on! :)
And glad to note that my groans count as prayers rather than just making me a complainer. :)
