The Importance of Punctuation
Headline of an announcement for a ladies' lunchoen in the bulletin of the church we went to on Sunday:
Meet our Pastor's Wives!
That would be pastor-apostrophe-"s," singular, as in one pastor, and "wives," plural.
Do you think they meant to write "s"-apostrophe?
And on a scale of one to ten, how big a nerd am I to think that this is absolutely hilarious?? :)

did this leave you wondering what kind of a place have I returned here...in any case, either this punctuation issue is a reason to leave (what do spelling issues tell us about a church anyway...and even more thorny: what about the pastors' husbands??) or a reason to dive into administrative ministry.
Did you travel to Southern Utah to visit a church? This sounds very un-CRC ish and very, well, utah-ish!
BTW, how is Sunday the 23rd--Eric had a sudden change of plans. I'd call, but I have no idea where I wrote your number!
Sammy
hahaha, thanks for the laugh :)
That is great! I think I would've busted p laughing right then and there.
You gotta love the self correcting spell ceck thingy.
:)
Punctuation and grammar issues aside, yes it's hilarious, and it also makes me happy to be in a denom where the ladies society doesn't do this kind of thing. Aagh! Sounds like an ordeal for any wife...I think I'd actually be glad to go with 3 or 4 wives as buffers!!!
Your mother understands completely:) (Dad said you sound like me!)
